Matthew K. Libby, a native of Saco, Maine, joined the firm’s litigation practice group in 2012. Matt is a strong advocate for his clients and since 2015 he has been recognized by his peers as a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star. Matt is admitted to practice in all Maine state courts and the United States Federal Court for the District of Maine. He handles a variety of civil matters, ranging from business disputes to personal injury claims. He also represents clients in state and federal criminal court.
Matt graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. Prior to law school Matt spent four years playing professional hockey, including two years with the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. He is an active member of Mary’s Walk, a cancer fundraiser held each year in Saco in memory of his mother, Mary Kerry Libby, and he currently serves as the Vice President on the Board of the Maine Cancer Foundation.
Matt has two daughters, Tess and Caroline. They are his pride and joy.
